Do you have any information on a former Diamond Gloves champion named Karl Zenk?  I believe he was a champion in the late 1930's.   Could you please forward me anything you may have.

Thank You.

Could you possibly have any information, photos, etc., on Glen Nichols - better known as Two Fisted Glen during the 1930's -  out of Mexico, Missouri.  Anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

I was wondering if you had or know where I could find ANY information on a boxer named Pasquale Russo.  He boxed in Jersey City in probably the 1940's - 50's, and I believe his nickname was Milky.  I've spent countless hours on the computer trying to find any information on him and have not been able to find a thing!  The next step is a road trip to Jersey City to see if I can find anything at the gyms and boxing clubs there!

Any insight you may have would be appreciated more than you know!

Thank you,
Julie

Gentlemen,
My dad, Sigi Aschkenas [ Sidney Ashe] died at the age of 92  of a broken heart following the death of his wife of 68 years this past February . A member of Ring 8, he is mentioned and pictured in the book, "When Boxing was a Jewish Sport".   Please inform his dear freinds there of his passing and if allowed, provide him his "final bell!"   Thanks in advance, Mike

Hello there,

I was wondering if you have any information on a boxer from New York in the early 1900’s called “Hop Harry Stone”. He was my grandfather and any information you might have will be most welcome.

Thank you     Denise   denise.amey@Anchor.org.au

Hi, I was wondering if you had any information on a light heavyweight from the 1930’s named Max Berg. He is my grandfather who has long since passed on . What I did learn about him from my grandmother about his career is:

He fought on an under-card at Madison Square Garden in the 30’s

He was 52-0

He sparred with Jack Dempsey . . .

His promoter was a Thomas Cummings (I read the original contract this weekend) and was dated in 1934.

Unfortunately that’s it. I was baffled that I was unable to find even a mention of his name anywhere on the internet being 52-0 and also fighting at the Garden. At the time he was living in New Jersey or Connecticut. I do know that he was on an under-card at the Garden because we have a newspaper clipping of it but its just his picture- no date.  Thanks for any help. If you find anything, would you please email it to darrenengelke@comcast.net. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Darren Engelke, grandson of Max Berg
